In an era where everyone — not just millennials — is bombarded with over 10,000 messages a day, the ability to communicate in a visual format is incredibly important.
The adage that a picture tells a thousand words is powerful when telling a compelling story.
Whether it’s a pitch, report, or research project, you don’t have to be a Visual Designer to create visually appealing presentations.
Welcome to Slide Deck Design for Non-Designers, our event that makes beautiful and stimulating presentations even more accessible to those of us who don’t have the professional backing of a design degree.
In this workshop you’ll learn the foundational design principles of colour, typography, and balance that you can implement immediately. You’ll also uncover different templates and resources to help with your slide deck layout, planning, and presentation capabilities.
We know there’s a range of slide deck tools and materials available online and sometimes choosing the right one can be an overwhelming decision. So, how do you make the right choice? This workshop will give you insights into the online resources available and which ones are best to help you craft beautiful keynotes and presentations.
What you’ll need to bring:
Your own laptop
A pen and notepad for extra notes
A sample keynote or presentation that you can work on
A creative mindset!
