This is a very special event brought to you by our education partner, General Assembly (GA) in association with the Silicon Valley startup, Slack.
Slack is a neat little group communication tool that is quirky and fun to use. The leadership & the organising teams at Silicon Beach use Slack everyday as we orchestrate the rising tide of Silicon Beach throughout the nation.
Thanks to Slack, not only have we completely eliminated time consuming meetings, we are well on our way to eliminating the dreaded email threads among the team. Thanks to Slack, we don’t say “let’s discuss this at our next meeting” … instead, ideas get typed into Slack and brainstormed and implemented through it’s tight integration with various project management tools (eg. Todoist, Trello, Things), Google Drive, Dropbox etc.
Earlier this year, Slack opened their Asia-Pacific HQ in Melbourne. Read their blog post on the opening. This is your chance to join us at the Slack HQ in Melbourne.
